KRUUSE IgG rapid test for foals is a test to assess the concentration of IgG in a newborn foal. The KRUUSE IgG for foals can be used with serum, plasma, or whole blood, making it suitable for use on-site as well as in the clinic. The transfer of antibodies from the mother through colostrum during the first 24 hours after birth is critical. If the amount of antibodies is sufficient, the IgG concentration in the foal is 800 mg/dL. KRUUSE IgG for foals is a semi-quantitative rapid test to determine the level of IgG in the foal, with the following categories: <400 mg/dL, 400-800 mg/dL, and >800 mg/dL.
