LACFIL EP 3 USP 2/0 LG 15M is a synthetic, absorbable, braided surgical suture designed for general soft tissue veterinary surgery. It is composed of a copolymer of glycolic acid (90%) and lactic acid (10%), coated with polyglactin 910 and calcium stearate. The suture is purple in color and provides excellent flexibility, smooth passage through tissue, and high knot security. It retains approximately 50% of its tensile strength at 21 days and is fully absorbed through hydrolysis within 60 to 80 days. It is sterilized with ethylene oxide and presented in a vacuum-sealed aluminum pouch inside a cardboard box.
