• Prednisolone is a steroidal anti-inflammatory, containing prednisolone 1%.
• Prednisolone is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and primary ketosis in dairy cows.
• Prednisolone is also used to treat bursitis, inflammatory conditions, and allergies in large and small animals.

Dosage and method of use of prednisolone

• Dosage for bovine ketosis: 100 to 200 mg depending on the severity of ketonuria and the weight of the animal.
• Dosage in horses and cattle: In cases of rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory arthritis involving ligaments, and bursitis, 40 to 801 mg of prednisolone should be injected intramuscularly.
• The dose can be repeated after 48 and 96 hours if necessary
• Dosage in dogs: 10 to 30 mg intramuscularly.

Withdrawal period

• Meat: 8 days.
• For milk: 24 hours.
