Nucleated red blood cells (nRBCs) indicate bone marrow damage and increased red blood cell production. Nucleated red blood cells are noted when suspected in a sample. These cells indicate bone marrow damage or a significant increase in red blood cell production, both of which require prompt action.

• Laser Flow Cytometry: Provides advanced five-part white blood cell differential analysis. The ProCyte Dx Hematology Analyzer uses laser flow cytometry to conduct a complete analysis of multiple characteristics for each type of white blood cell, for a more accurate interpretation of all five types of white blood cells.
• Optical Fluorescence: Optical fluorescence provides highly sensitive and accurate reticulocyte counts using specific fluorescent dyes. Cat platelets are analyzed in this way to ensure excellent separation when identifying platelets and similarly sized red blood cells. The process involves staining sample cells, directing a 633 nm laser light at each cell, and collecting multiple angles of light scatter. Wavelengths of 660 nm or greater—referred to here as blue—are captured for very precise measurements of nuclear cell content. Only the ProCyte Dx offers this superior capability for highly sensitive and accurate analysis.
• Laminar Flow Impedance: Laminar flow impedance provides the fastest and most accurate red blood cell count for quick and precise analysis. With advanced laminar flow impedance technology, cells are arranged one by one to ensure each cell is individually classified.
