Salsprin

• Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and anticoagulant medication for horses and camels.
• Salsprin is used to control fever and/or pain, as well as to manage inappropriate clotting in horses and camels.
• The half-life of salicylates is one hour in the horse's body and is rapidly eliminated. Its effect begins within approximately 10-15 minutes. However, the pharmacological effects of salicylates last much longer due to their irreversible nature.

Dosage and Usage

Horses

• Anti-inflammatory effect: 35-45 mg/kg every 8-12 hours, administered via slow intravenous injection.
  Anticoagulant effect: 5 mg/kg every two days or 20 mg/kg every 5 days via slow intravenous injection.

Camels

• Camels: (10 ml per 100 kg) every 24 hours. Administered via slow intravenous injection.
