The Sera Pond Koi Professional 24000 filter offers a modern design and advanced functions: it is space-saving and efficient, cleaning ponds up to 40,000 liters (10,568 US gallons), and koi ponds up to 24,000 liters (6,340 US gallons).

The water flows through 4 purification steps: First, the water is treated using UV-C radiation which reduces pathogens and algae. The water flows through a retention chamber to the mechanical purification step consisting of a stainless steel strainer with a zigzag mesh width of 200 micrometers. Not only are coarse particles collected here, but also pre-treated algae cells that have been clogged by UV-C radiation.

In case of algae growth threat ("green water"), two pieces of fine mesh filter sponges can be combined, which remove even single-cell algae from pond water, under the zigzag strainer with rapid movement. If the sponges are not cleaned in time, the water flows directly to the biological step via a safety bypass. The purified water returns to the pond via a retention step.
