Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin disorder that can be genetic or result from bacterial or fungal infections. It is characterized by the development of red patches with yellow-gray scales that often appear on the dog's back, face, and sides. The milder form manifests as dandruff, which appears as dry, flaky scales on the skin. The extent of the condition, as well as the severity of symptoms, helps determine treatment.

Symptoms may include an inflamed scalp, oily or waxy skin, red rash, and flaky skin like dandruff. Salicylic acid, coal tar, and micronized Sulfur are combined to provide powerful medications proven effective in treating dandruff and parasitic and fungal infections. It also contains colloidal oatmeal and allantoin to moisturize the skin and promote healing.

Powerful Active ingredients:

• Coal Tar: Coal tar is a skin cell renewal agent (exfoliates dead skin cells from the top layer to allow new skin cell growth) and is used to help relieve skin problems like itching, scaling, and flaking caused by seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis.
• Salicylic Acid: Salicylic acid is used as an anti-inflammatory agent in skincare products to treat seborrheic dermatitis, acne, psoriasis, dandruff, and even warts. It helps exfoliate skin cells, allowing clogged pores to open, neutralizing bacteria, and then preventing pores from re-clogging by tightening them and allowing new cell growth.
• Micronized Sulfur: This ingredient has a variety of beneficial properties for improving Health. It is known for its cleansing properties and promotes the reduction of chronic inflammation. Sulfur has also been used for years as a fungicide and insecticide. For pets, it is used to help destroy ringworm, dandruff, mange, and other skin diseases and parasites.
• Oatmeal and Allantoin: These ingredients are known to be great for moisturizing the skin and promoting healing.
• Paraben-Free: Parabens have been found to mimic estrogen in the body—and when levels are disrupted, a link has been developed with breast cancer and reproductive issues. All our formulations are paraben-free, to promote the safety, well-being, and Health of your animal.

Wet coat and apply shampoo generously. Work into a rich lather, massaging coat to saturate skin well. Leave on pet for 10-15 minutes. Rinse well. Initially, wash pet 2-3 times weekly. As skin condition improves, frequency of use can be reduced. For topical use only on dogs over 12 weeks. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation develops, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian. Not safe for use on cats.
