Product Details
Fleas:
Dogs and other warm-blooded animals are particularly susceptible to flea infestations in warm climates or during summer months when air temperatures and humidity levels are high. Fleas can transfer to dogs from other furry friends or the surrounding environment. Fleas use their strong hind legs to jump onto the "host" (your dog) and then bite the animal. These bites can cause itching, hair loss, hot spots from scratching, inflamed lesions, and even skin infections. You may also notice small dirt-like particles on your animal - these are flea droppings and digested blood.
Female fleas can live for several weeks on your animal and may lay between 20-30 eggs per day during that period. Some eggs will hatch into larvae on your animal, while others fall into the home environment - where they feed on skin flakes and other organic material. Pet owners should treat both the dog and the indoor and outdoor home environment.
Symptoms:
- Flea droppings or "flea dirt" in the dog's fur.
- Flea eggs on the dog or in the dog's environment.
- Allergic dermatitis
- Excessive itching, licking, or biting the skin
- Hair loss
- Scabs and hot spots
- Tapeworms
- Pale gums
Ticks:
Ticks are parasitic insects that attach themselves and feed from warm hosts, such as your dog. Ticks are commonly found in wooded areas, tall grass, and vegetation. Dogs that spend a lot of time outdoors are prone to encountering a tick at any time. When this happens, the tick can attach and lock its mouth into a crevice or fold and begin feeding on blood - sometimes feeding for several days. In addition to being uncomfortable, ticks cause significant concern for animals and humans alike due to the high risk of transmitting diseases such as Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, or babesiosis. A tick bite can also cause anemia, joint swelling, fever, and paralysis. If your animal shows signs of illness and you suspect it has been bitten by a tick, consult your veterinarian immediately. Always check your animal for ticks if it has been running outside, especially in wooded areas.

Fleas and ticks can cause unexplained skin irritation and can make your dog sick. This unique spray uses the natural insecticide, pyrethrum, to kill fleas and ticks on contact.

Product Benefits
- Pyrethrum: Pyrethrum is a natural insecticide and pest repellent made from chrysanthemums - using dried flower heads that are toxic, exposure to pyrethrum may cause itching, red skin, sneezing, and other skin issues if there is a reaction.
- Paraben-Free: Parabens have been shown to mimic estrogen in the body - and when levels are disrupted, a link has been developed with breast cancer and reproductive issues. All our formulations are paraben-free, to enhance the safety, well-being, and health of your animal.
- Kills fleas and ticks on contact: Designed using pyrethrum for maximum flea control.
- Dye-Free
Method
For use on dogs only:
Spray the animal using the spray nozzle from about 8-12 inches away from the animal. Start spraying the animal from the tail, ensuring to spray the entire coat of the animal, including the legs, tail, and underbody. Using your hand, fluff the hair against the way it normally lays to ensure the spray penetrates through the coat to the skin. Refer to the instruction chart on the bottle to apply the appropriate amount of product to the animal. Do not exceed the maximum number of spray applications according to the animal's body weight. Do not saturate the animal or spray on the face, eyes, or genitals. Repeat as needed, but not more than once every 14 days (two weeks).
For use in dog areas:
Treat the dog's bedding and other resting areas, as these are primary hiding spots for fleas and ticks; no need to remove the animal's bedding after treatment. To reduce infestation, spray around sleeping areas, window and door sills, wall crevices, localized areas of floors, and other resting places including the surface of dog houses and crates. Do not allow pets to use treated areas until completely dry. For best results, to protect your animal and reduce the reintroduction of adult fleas from outside, use EPA-registered flea and tick products.
