One catheter replaces two. The same catheter is used to unblock and leave it permanently for bladder drainage. This technique, which uses a single device, is designed to reduce the risk of infection and trauma associated with the two-catheter technique.

Catheter flushing device (optional) enables flushing through the catheter during insertion. The new movable suture device allows for length adjustment. Improvement for standard Tomcat, Jackson, and Slippery Sam™ urinary catheters. Non-irritating polyurethane material and radiopaque. Rigid for easy insertion. Softens at body temperature. Open-ended tip. Luer lock to secure connection to a closed collection system (see "Closed Urine Collection System"). Length of 25 cm provides maximum flexibility when securing the catheter. The additional length allows securing the collection bag connector to be at the cat's tail or back, reducing catheter tension during cat movement.
