• Vanguard Plus 5 contains attenuated strains of CD virus, CAV-2, CPI virus, and CPV known to circulate in the canine cell lineage.
• To vaccinate healthy dogs 6 weeks of age or older to help prevent canine distemper caused by canine distemper (CD) virus, canine infectious hepatitis (ICH) caused by canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1), and respiratory diseases caused by canine distemper (CD) virus. It is caused by canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2), canine parainfluenza virus (CPI), and canine viral enteritis caused by canine parvovirus (CPV).

How to use and dosage

•  It is recommended to vaccinate healthy dogs. Rehydrate the freeze-dried vaccine aseptically using the supplied sterile diluent, shake well, and administer 1 mL subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
• Core Vaccination: Healthy dogs 6 weeks of age or older should receive 3 doses, each 3 weeks apart.
• Revaccination: Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended, although the treating veterinarian should determine the frequency of revaccination based on the animal's lifestyle and risk of exposure, recommends the American Veterinary Medical Association and its Council on Biological and Therapeutic Agents.
