Flourite is a stable, porous clay gravel designed for natural planted aquariums. Its appearance is best suited for planted tanks, but it can be used in any freshwater aquarium environment. Flourite is most effective when used alone as an integral substrate bed, but it can be mixed with other gravels. Main Features:

Setup: Although pre-washed, Flourite as a natural product may become dusty during transport and requires rinsing before use to remove any remaining dust. When adding water to the aquarium, it is preferable to fill it slowly to avoid disturbing the Flourite layer. Place a bowl in the aquarium and add water directly to the bowl, allowing the water to gently flow over the gravel layer. Initial cloudiness is normal. To remove the cloudiness, use a mechanical filtration system (such as filter wool). Use Clarity to speed up the filtration process.
