Flourite is a stable porous clay gravel designed for natural planted aquariums. Its appearance is best suited for planted tanks, but it can be used in any freshwater aquarium environment. Flourite is most effective when used alone as a complete substrate bed, but it can be mixed with other gravels. Key Features:

Setup: Although it has been pre-washed, Flourite as a natural product may become dusty during transport and requires rinsing before use to remove any dust in stock. When adding water to the tank, it is preferable to fill it slowly to avoid disturbing the Flourite layer. Place a bowl in the tank and add water directly to the bowl, allowing the water to flow gently over the gravel layer. Initial cloudiness is considered normal. To remove the cloudiness, use a mechanical filtration system (such as a filter wool). Use Clarity to speed up the filtration process.
