Aquavitro Shrimp pHb is part of a dual system that helps simulate the water chemistry found in the native habitats of freshwater shrimp by editing the water to the natural pH for each specific type of shrimp. When used according to instructions, shrimp pHb maintains the appropriate pH standards for freshwater shrimp, softens the water, and supports plant growth in shrimp aquariums. Shrimp pHb is made from a unique and highly stable buffering system and does not add sodium, which can damage plants in the aquarium.

Instructions:
Use when setting up the aquarium and when making water changes. Use with shrimp pHa to target pH. All given dosages are for 20 liters (5 US gallons). Dosages can be safely doubled if necessary. In cases of sensitive shrimp or to avoid the risk of any pH shock, it is preferable to distribute the doses over a period of 12 to 24 hours.

To simply increase pH in established aquariums: Add 2.5 ml (half a teaspoon) of shrimp pHb per 20 liters (5 US gallons) every 12 hours until the target pH is achieved. Do not exceed this dosage. Rapid changes in pH can be very harmful to shrimp. Some aquariums may require repeated dosing to overcome the buffering capacity of certain substrates and decorations. This is especially true for humate-based soils.
