The API® PROPER pH 8.2 product adjusts and stabilizes the pH level at 8.2 in saltwater aquariums, brackish water, and African cichlid tanks without using phosphates. The pH level is a measure of the acidic or alkaline conditions in the water, where a value of 7.0 corresponds to a neutral pH level, values above 7.0 are considered alkaline, and values below 7.0 are considered acidic.

Different fish require different pH levels to be healthy, so it's important to test the water regularly to ensure the pH levels are where they should be. If the water test does not show the desired pH level, use API PROPER pH 8.2 to adjust and maintain the level.
