API® pH UP regulator raises the pH levels in your aquarium to make the water more alkaline when levels drop significantly. pH is a measure of acidity or alkalinity in water, where a value of 7.0 corresponds to neutral pH, values close to 7.0 are considered alkaline, while values below 7.0 are considered acidic.

Different types of fish require different pH levels to be healthy, so it is important to test the water regularly to ensure pH levels stay where they should be. pH UP regulator works quickly, is colorless, easy to use, and will not cloud the aquarium water. And because it is phosphate- and nitrate-free, pH UP regulator will not encourage algae growth.

Determine the aquarium water pH using an API pH test kit. To raise the pH level, add 1 ml per 10 gallons of aquarium water.

Take another pH reading before adding another dose of pH UP regulator.

Some fish may be sensitive to pH level changes greater than 0.2 over a 24-hour period, so changes of this magnitude should be made with great caution.
