Aqua Medic Midiflotor

The Mediflotter from Aqua Medic is an air-driven internal protein skimmer, operating with a dual-cylinder system suitable for tanks up to 400 liters. It features a dual reaction tube device that makes it a true counterflow protein skimmer. Air bubbles rise in the inner tube. Like an airlift system, they carry a large amount of water with them. This water is forced to flow downward in the outer tube. The air bubbles follow the water flow downward until they reach the expansion cone. At this point, the air bubbles reverse and rise in the opposite direction upwards. This ensures a very high retention time of the bubbles in the water. The device also includes an air distributor made of lime wood that produces very fine air bubbles. Additionally, the carrier plate leaves space for the oxidation-reduction electrode. For air supply, we recommend using the Mistral 300 air pump (not included).
