The joints of athletic horses endure significant stress during training and competitions, and often the cartilage and joint fluids are the first areas to show tags of wear. Cartilage is the spongy, flexible material that covers the ends of bones within the joint, acting as a primary shock absorber and helping to reduce friction. Joint fluid or synovial fluid should be thick and viscous, to wash and lubricate the joint, and also acts as a vital shock absorber.

Cortaflex® HA Super Fenn powder provides essential nutrients to help specialized cells, known as chondrocytes, maintain cartilage health, in addition to providing hyaluronic acid to help maintain healthy joint fluids.

What is Cortaflex®?
Cortaflex® supplements are unique in the market and are often misrepresented when compared to other joint supplements! Cortaflex® provides the essential elements to help specialized cartilage cells known as chondrocytes maintain joint health.

What are the benefits of Cortaflex?

• Collagen – An important compound needed by chondrocytes to produce the cartilage's water matrix. Collagen helps give cartilage its strength. (We use a sustainable and ethical source of marine-derived collagen.)
• Amino acids such as glutamic acid – Converted in the horse's body to provide glutamine, which combines with glucose to form glucosamine – which then combines with other compounds to help give cartilage its elasticity and shock-absorbing properties.
• Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – A key component of joint fluid, which washes the joint and acts as a lubricant and shock absorber.
