EHEIM AKTIV is acid-washed and activated for automatic water absorption (active surface area 1200 m²/g). Thus, it quickly binds harmful chemicals such as pesticides, medical treatment residues, and other substances and retains them. The water in the aquarium will become completely clear. Its use is particularly important after treating creatures with medication.
EHEIM AKTIV should be used for a limited period (about 4 weeks) and then removed or replaced.
In filter layer setup, EHEIM AKTIV should be used directly after mechanical filter materials (such as EHEIM MECH or MECHpro) and biological filter media (such as EHEIM SUBSTRATpro) in the provided mesh bag.
