EHEIM biopower 240 internal filter

With the EHEIM biopower filter, you have a high-performance internal filter like never before.

It features a rotatable pump head, modular construction, and other features from the aquaball concept.

What distinguishes biopower is that it offers multi-layer filtration as with external filters. The closed filter baskets consist of highly efficient filter media (such as SUBSTRATpro). The intake basket with the filter cartridge for mechanical-biological filtration is located at the bottom. Water is drawn from the bottom and pumped upwards through the different filter layers, and after filtration, it is directed back into the aquarium.

There are 3 models for aquariums from 80 to 240 liters.

Aquaball concept with external filter technology

External filter technology and multi-layer filtration - this means: water is pumped from the bottom to the top through the different filter layers, and after filtration, it is directed back into the aquarium.

The closed filter baskets come pre-filled with EHEIM SUBSTRATpro. Other filter media can also be used.

The intake basket contains a filter cartridge for mechanical-biological filtration. In the pump head holder, it provides an additional filter pad for filtration.

By adding or removing filter units (filter baskets), you can Edit the filter size as needed.

Filter baskets can be easily connected and disconnected (easy-click locking system).

Thanks to the modular construction, filter cartridges or media can be cleaned at different intervals, preserving bacterial cultures.

The spherical pump head sits in a ball bearing and can be fully rotated. Thus, the flow of filtered water can be directed in any direction.

The pump power and flow rate can be adjusted by the control handle on the flow nozzle.

The power diffuser is adjusted to regulate air intake and thus increase oxygen in the aquarium.

The biopower holder is simply attached to the glass with suction cups. For cleaning, replacing units, or filling filter media, the filter can be easily removed from its holder.
