Carbon filter for clear aquarium water – especially for new tank setups

EHEIM Carbon is particularly suitable for water purification during the aquarium setup phase. Chlorine from tap water and other chemicals, which may enter the aquarium during installation, are safely absorbed.

EHEIM Carbon should be used for a short period (about 4 weeks) in the layer setup after mechanical filtration media (such as EHEIM Mech or Mech Pro) and biological filtration media (such as EHEIM Substrat Pro) in the provided mesh bag.

Tip:

Use absorptive filtration media only for a few weeks, as harmful substances are only adhered to and can be released after a period and returned to the water. At the very least, they should be changed regularly. Absorptive filtration is usually only necessary during aquarium setup or after medication treatments.
