A healthy blend of dried peaches, apricots, plums, sweet peppers, carrots, tomatoes, and cabbage, mixed with Roudybush Daily Maintenance Pellets and a healthy dose of sunshine. Use this diet when transitioning your bird from the old diet to Roudybush. Continue feeding adult birds that are not laying eggs or feeding chicks. Lories and lorikeets, which will accept this diet, will produce drier droppings compared to when consuming nectar. If you have a bird that lays eggs chronically or a bird prone to developing calcium deficiency (such as the African Grey), mix two-thirds of the maintenance with one-third of the high-energy breeding food to provide them with more calcium and Vitamin D3. Do not give additional vitamin or mineral supplements. Fresh fruit and vegetable treats can be offered as a small part of the diet.
