The actinic blue light is ideal for enabling symbiotic algae in soft and hard corals and other invertebrates. Since the emitted blue LED spectrum is expanded using two different LEDs, the appropriate wavelengths for photosynthesis are ensured.

Also used to enhance color and depth as additional lighting in a Malawi tank or as moonlight. The preferred combination is with the neutral white LED X-Change tube or the daylight LED X-Change tube for sunrise.

In conjunction with the Sera LED digital dimmer, the light intensity of the marine blue LED X-Change tube for sunrise can be controlled. Additionally, sunrise and sunset can even be simulated at individually specified times.
