• Dexadresone is a glucocorticoid containing dexamethasone. 
• Dexadresone has ten to twenty times the anti-inflammatory activity of prednisolone.

• Each ml contains 2 mg dexamethasone as dexamethasone sodium phosphate 2.63 mg. Benzyl alcohol 15.6 mg is included as a preservative.

• This preparation contains the sodium phosphate ester of dexamethasone, a fluoromethyl derivative of prednisolone, which is a potent glucocorticoid with minimal mineralocorticoid activity.

• Dexadresone is used to treat inflammatory or allergic conditions in horses, cattle, dogs, and cats.
• It is also used to treat initial ketosis in cattle, induction of parturition to avoid fetal edema, and mammary edema in cows.
• Dexadresone treats arthritis, bursitis, or tenosynovitis by intra-articular injection in horses.

Dosage and method of use of Dexadresone

• Dexadresone is given by intravenous or intramuscular injection in horses. It can also be given by intra-articular injection in horses.
• Dexadresone is given by intramuscular injection in cows, dogs, and cats.

Withdrawal period 

• Livestock: milk: 72 hours, meat: 8 days.
• Horses: in meat: 8 days.
