Aqua Medic Turbo Fluitor 5000 Shorty Protein Skimmer The Shorty is manufactured in two sizes to fit most aquarium tanks. It is equipped with a venturi pump. Water supply for skimmers requires a second pump with a capacity of at least 2,000 liters/hour (about 500 gallons/hour). The skimmer can also be connected directly to the aquarium overflow. In this case, it is recommended to install an overflow to control the flow of water into the skimmer, especially if powerful return pumps are used.
