Cortaflex® HA Regular Strength Solution includes collagen, hyaluronic acid, trace elements, and amino acids as essential nutritional foundations to maintain healthy cartilage and joint fluid. Cartilage is the spongy, flexible material that covers the ends of bones within the joint, acting as a major shock absorber and helping to reduce friction. Joint fluid or synovial fluid should be thick and viscous, to bathe and lubricate the joint, and also act as a vital shock absorber.

What is Cortaflex®?
Cortaflex® supplements are unique in the market, often misrepresented when compared to other joint supplements! Cortaflex® provides the foundations needed to help the specialized cells in cartilage known as chondrocytes maintain joint health.
These foundations include:
- Collagen - An important compound needed by chondrocytes to produce the cartilage matrix. Collagen helps give cartilage its strength. (We use a sustainable and ethical source of marine-derived collagen.)
- Amino acids such as glutamic acid - Converted in the horse's body to provide glutamine, which combines with glucose to form glucosamine - which in turn combines with other compounds to help give cartilage its elasticity and shock-absorbing properties.
- Hyaluronic acid (HA) - A key component of joint fluid, which bathes the joint and acts as an oil and shock absorber.
- Copper, manganese, and silicon - Important trace elements needed by the horse to help produce its own chondroitin, (another important structural compound in cartilage), collagen, and hyaluronic acid.
Recently, in addition to providing these vital foundations, MSM has been added to Cortaflex® supplements, to provide a bioavailable source of sulfur, which is important in the repair of sulfur-containing bonds in the cartilage matrix. MSM also supports a normal inflammatory response.

- Additives (per kilogram): Technological Additives: Monosilicic Acid E551a 1500 mg. Nutritional Additives: Manganese (3b504 Manganese Acetate from Glycine Hydrate) 1700 mg; Copper (3b414 Copper (II) Acetate from Glycine Hydrate) 800 mg; Vitamin B6 (3a831 Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) 200 mg.
