Exo Terra Forest Bark is a 100% natural, biodegradable reptile substrate made from sustainable wood bark. Forest Bark is the ideal decorative substrate for reptiles, amphibians and moisture-loving invertebrates from tropical and forest environments.
Its hygroscopic properties regulate the humidity of the terrarium in a natural way by slowly absorbing and releasing moisture. The unique size and shape of the bark particles stimulates natural digging and burrowing behavior, and prevents cockroaches from burrowing into the substrate.
The fir bark is extensively stirred to soften pieces of bark and remove dust, then heat treated to reduce bacterial contamination.
