Black Sand Fluorite is a stable, crushed, porous clay pebbles specially designed for the natural planted aquarium. Its appearance is best suited for planted aquariums, but can be used in any freshwater aquarium environment. Black fluorite sand is most effective when used alone as an integrated substrate bed, but can be mixed with other gravel. Gravel modifiers such as laterite are not necessary.

Instructions:
Although it has been pre-washed, because Black Sand Fluorite is a natural product , it may become dusty during transportation and requires rinsing before use to remove any in stock dust.
When adding water to an aquarium, fill it slowly to avoid disturbing the black sandy fluorite layer. Place a bowl in the sink and add water directly to the bowl, allowing the water to flow gently over the gravel bottom. Initial cloudiness is normal. To remove cloudiness, use mechanical filtration (eg filter floss). Use clarity to speed up the cleansing process.
